Browser script execution via unescaped _wpnonce parameter
Published Jan 4, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in WeaverTheme Turnkey bbPress 1.6.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through the _wpnonce parameter. The plugin reflects the attacker-controlled nonce value into an HTML response without adequate input sanitization or context-appropriate output escaping. Exploitation requires a victim to open a crafted link, causing the injected script to execute in that victim’s browser session.
