Code execution via unvalidated CSP file parsing
Published Dec 13, 2024 · Updated Dec 13, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Cscape 10.0.363.1 and earlier allows context-dependent attackers to execute code via a crafted CSP file. The CSP parser does not validate user-supplied file data before reading past the end of allocated data structures. Exploitation requires a user to open the file, after which attacker-controlled code runs in the Cscape process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
