Administrator-level stored XSS via unescaped shortcode content
Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in OTWthemes Toggles Shortcode and Widget 1.14 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via content. The content-toggle shortcode renderer inserts the content parameter into generated page markup without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. Administrator access is required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; the stored script runs when an injected page is opened.
