Code execution via malformed DWFX object write
Published Dec 17, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Autodesk Navisworks 2025 allows attackers to execute code by inducing a user to open a crafted DWFX file. The DWFX parser fails to validate user-supplied data before writing past the end of an allocated object. Opening the file or visiting a malicious page triggers parsing, enabling code execution in the current process, a crash, or data corruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
