Stored XSS via unescaped custom styles setting
Published Feb 19, 2025 · Updated Feb 21, 2025
Stored XSS in Master Slider before 3.10.5 allows remote authenticated users with Editor access to execute scripts via slider settings. The Slider custom styles setting stores crafted markup without sanitization and renders it in preview without output escaping. Editor-level access is required, and the injected script runs when another user previews the slider, exposing that user's browser session.
