CVE-2024-12163Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored script execution via SVG avatar upload

Published Jan 30, 2025 · Updated Jan 30, 2025

Stored cross-site scripting in GoodLayers Core before 2.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a malicious SVG avatar. The profile avatar upload accepts script-bearing SVG content and stores it under the public tourmaster-avatar uploads path without neutralizing the active content. Subscriber access is sufficient to upload the file, but a victim must open the stored SVG for its script to execute in the victim's browser.
