Cross-account notification deletion via unvalidated identifiers
Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 11, 2026
Missing authorization in BuddyPress 14.3.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter or delete other users' notifications. The bp_notifications_action_bulk_manage handler accepts user-controlled notification keys for bulk read, unread, or delete operations without confirming ownership. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the consequence is limited to unauthorized notification status changes or deletion.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
