CVE-2024-12125Network attack vector

Restricted field modification via client-controlled attributes

Published Nov 6, 2025 · Updated Dec 24, 2025

Improper permission preservation in Red Hat 3scale Developer Portal before 2.16 allows remote attackers to modify restricted account fields. Account creation and update handling trusts client-submitted values for attributes that the UI marks read-only or hidden instead of enforcing those restrictions server-side. An unauthenticated network request is sufficient, and the bounded consequence is unauthorized modification of restricted account information.
