CVE-2024-12123Network attack vector

Ticket requester spoofing via trusted hidden field

Published Dec 4, 2024 · Updated Dec 4, 2024

Hidden-field manipulation in Issuetrak 17.1 allows remote authenticated users to change a submitted ticket's requester. The ticket-submission handler trusts a client-controlled hidden requester field and accepts a proxy-modified value naming another application user. A valid account and permission to submit a ticket are required; exploitation misattributes the ticket and alters application data without granting reported administrative control.
