Poll duplication via missing nonce validation
Published Dec 7, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
CSRF in AYS Pro Plugins Poll Maker 5.5.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to duplicate polls through forged requests. The duplicate_poll() function processes a poll-duplication request without correctly validating a WordPress nonce, allowing the administrator's session to authorize the state change. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to act on attacker-controlled content; the demonstrated consequence is creation of a duplicate poll.
