Service crash via malformed endpoint identifier double-free
Published Dec 4, 2024 · Updated Dec 4, 2024
Double-free in the BPv7 parser in D3TN GmbH µD3TN before 0.14.2 allows remote attackers to crash the service with a malformed bundle. bundle7_eid_parse_cbor frees an invalid ipn endpoint identifier after eid_parse_ipn fails, but leaves the same pointer in bundle->destination for bundle_free_dynamic_parts to free again. Unauthenticated network delivery is sufficient, and on glibc systems the allocator aborts the process, interrupting the DTN node.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
