Stored cross-site scripting via missing nonce validation
Published Jan 25, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site scripting in TargetVideo GmbH Target Video Easy Publish 3.8.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to store scripts via forged requests. The resync_carousel(), seek_snapshot(), uploaded_cc(), and remove_cc() handlers process state-changing requests without valid nonce checks, allowing attacker-controlled script content to be saved. Exploitation requires an administrator to follow a crafted link or take an equivalent action, after which the stored script executes in affected WordPress pages.
