CVE-2024-12073Network attack vector

Stored XSS via unescaped slide URL

Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Stored XSS in Josh Leuze Meteor Slides 1.5.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through slide_url_value. The plugin stores the slide URL without sufficient input sanitization and later renders it without adequate output escaping, allowing attacker-controlled script markup to reach a slideshow page. Contributor-level access is required to supply the value, and the script executes in the browser of a user who opens the affected page.
