Script execution via unescaped add_query_arg URL
Published Dec 12, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in Fatcat Apps Analytics Cat 1.1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts through crafted URLs. The plugin passes a URL through add_query_arg and emits the resulting value without appropriate output escaping, allowing attacker-controlled content into the page. Exploitation requires a user to follow a crafted link; the injected script runs in that user's browser context and can read or alter data exposed to the page.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
