Service unavailability via oversized upload filename
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Uncontrolled resource consumption in LLaVA 1.2.0 allows remote attackers to make the server unresponsive via an oversized upload filename. The file-upload handler processes multipart form-data filenames without an effective size or resource-consumption bound, allowing one oversized value to overwhelm request processing. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful requests interrupt the web service for legitimate users.
