Arbitrary file disclosure via unvalidated Gradio paths
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025
Path traversal in the Gradio web UI in Haotian Liu LLaVA at commit c121f04 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files. The web UI insufficiently validates file-path input across a sequence of crafted requests, permitting paths to escape the intended file scope. An unauthenticated network client can disclose any file readable by the server process, with no reported write or service-interruption impact.
