Contributor-level WordPress option disclosure via unchecked shortcode

Published Dec 12, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Information disclosure in ElementInvader Addons for Elementor 1.3.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read WordPress options. The eli_option_value shortcode accepts a caller-controlled option key and returns the corresponding wp_options value without checking authorization for that setting. Contributor-level access and the ability to submit shortcode content are required, and exposed values can include sensitive site configuration data.
