Authentication bypass in ZF RSSPlus 2M allows remote attackers to invoke restricted diagnostic functions through the SecurityAccess service. The service uses deterministic challenge seeds, allowing a predicted response to satisfy authentication and unlock workshop or repair operations. Reachability requires proximal RF equipment or a pivot through J2497 telematics; invoked functions can degrade performance or erase software while the vehicle remains safe.
