Account takeover via unlimited reset-code guesses
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Improper password-reset throttling in LangGenius Dify 0.10.1 allows remote attackers to take over accounts by guessing a six-digit code. ForgotPasswordCheckApi compares each supplied code with the reset-token value but neither counts failures nor enforces an attempt limit. No authentication or user interaction is required; a valid reset token and account email let repeated guesses reach owner, administrator, or user accounts.
