Subscriber-level arbitrary file deletion via path traversal
Published Mar 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Path traversal in Chimpstudio CS Framework 7.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server files. The cs_widget_file_delete() function fails to restrict an attacker-controlled path before deleting the referenced file. Subscriber-level WordPress access is sufficient, and deletion of a critical file such as wp-config.php enables follow-on remote code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
