Subscriber-level shortcode deletion via missing capability check
Published Dec 12, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Aliakro Snippet Shortcodes 4.1.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete stored shortcodes. The AJAX deletion handler trusts a leaked nonce without checking whether the caller has permission to delete the identified shortcode. A Subscriber account is sufficient to remove reusable content, potentially altering every page or post that relies on the deleted shortcode.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
