CVE-2024-12012Network attack vector

Authentication bypass via query-string credential exposure

Published Feb 13, 2025 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Information disclosure in Zettler 130.8005 TCP/IP Gateway firmware 12h allows remote authenticated users to steal secrets via URLs. The integrated web server places SHA-1 password hashes and session tokens in GET request URLs, exposing them through browsers and network traffic. Access to a victim browser or inspected network traffic and user interaction are required; captured values enable pass-the-hash authentication bypass.
