CVE-2024-12011Network attack vector

Authentication bypass via web-server buffer over-read

Published Feb 13, 2025 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Buffer over-read in the Zettler 130.8005 TCP/IP Gateway web server firmware 12h allows remote attackers to steal session tokens. The web server returns data beyond its intended response buffer, exposing process-memory garbage that includes a logged-in user's token. No attacker credentials are required, but a legitimate user must be logged in; the stolen token permits post-authentication API calls within that user's permissions.
