Administrator command execution via zyUtilMailSend injection
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Command injection in Zyxel AX7501-B1 Firmware 5.17(ABPC.5.3)C0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands. The zyUtilMailSend function fails to neutralize command syntax in attacker-controlled input before operating-system execution. Administrator credentials are required, and remote reachability additionally depends on WAN access being enabled because it is disabled by default.
