Sensitive-data disclosure via public debug log
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Information exposure in BoldGrid W3 Total Cache 2.8.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read sensitive data from a public debug log. When debugging is enabled, Util_Debug writes module output beneath the web-accessible cache directory without reliably blocking direct requests. Debugging is disabled by default; exposed entries can include WordPress nonce values that support later CSRF attacks.
