Device takeover via malicious HMI code installation

Published Dec 17, 2024 · Updated Dec 17, 2024

Use of unmaintained components in Pro-face BLUE Runtime and EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert Runtime allows attackers to take device control. Schneider Electric has not identified the obsolete component or the precise check that accepts malicious code, so the code-level mechanism is undisclosed.
