SYSTEM-level command execution via crafted ZIP upload
Published Dec 19, 2024 · Updated Dec 20, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Sunnet CTMS before 10.13 allows remote authenticated users to execute system commands via a crafted ZIP file. The ePaper draft function accepts a crafted ZIP archive despite file-type restrictions, then processes its dangerous contents as executable commands. Access to an authenticated account is required, and successful exploitation runs arbitrary commands with SYSTEM privilege on the application host.
