CVE-2024-11959Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated memory corruption via unbounded curTime formatting

Published Nov 28, 2024 · Updated Nov 29, 2024

Buffer overflow in D-Link DIR-605L 2.13B01 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory through a crafted curTime POST value. The formResetStatistic handler passes the user-controlled curTime parameter to sprintf without a length bound, overflowing its Var buffer. Low-privileged access to the router web interface is required, and successful exploitation can compromise router data and service.
