Code execution via incomplete library signature verification
Published Mar 4, 2025 · Updated Mar 5, 2025
Improper signature verification in Kingsoft WPS Office 12.1.0.18276 and earlier allows local users to execute code through DLL loading. ksojscore.dll accepts an attacker-controlled mixed-case CefPluginPathU8 argument before the trusted parameter, and jscefservice.dll loads libcef.dll from that path without checking its signature. Low-privileged local access and a malicious libcef.dll at an accessible path are required; the library then runs with the WPS Office process rights.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
