Application crash via oversized Locate Host input

Denial of service in the Locate Host handler in ArmCode AlienIP 2.41 allows local users to crash the application via crafted text. The handler accepts a 5,005-byte string of A characters from either the IP address or Country field and crashes when Locate Host runs; the underlying faulty operation is undisclosed. A low-privileged local user must supply the text and invoke Locate Host; no confidentiality or integrity impact is reported.
