Admin script execution via unescaped migration parameters
Published Dec 27, 2024 · Updated Dec 27, 2024
Reflected XSS in GiveWP before 3.19.0 allows remote attackers to execute scripts in an administrator's browser through crafted URLs. The GiveWP forms page passes the give-run-migration and give-clear-update parameters into HTML without sanitization or output encoding. Execution requires a high-privileged user to open the crafted link, after which the script runs in that user's WordPress origin.
