CVE-2024-1192Public exploit

Local application crash via oversized WebDAV username

Published Feb 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 14, 2024

Denial of service in South River Technologies WebDrive 18.00.5057 allows local users to crash the client through Secure WebDAV setup. The connection form passes an excessively long username into the New Secure WebDAV workflow without safely handling its length, terminating the application when the connection is tested. A low-privileged local user must interact with the installed client; the result is an application crash, not data access or modification.
