Authenticated internal-service reads and writes via URL fetch
Published Jan 24, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Blind SSRF in BuddyDev Activity Plus Reloaded for BuddyPress 1.1.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to access internal services. The ajax_preview_link handler passes a user-supplied link-preview URL to wp_remote_get, which fetches it without rejecting private or internal destinations. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to make the WordPress server query or modify information exposed by reachable internal services.
