CVE-2024-11875Network attack vector

Stored XSS via unescaped fuss shortcode attributes

Published Dec 12, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Stored XSS in Add infos to The Events Calendar 1.4.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via the fuss shortcode. The shortcode handler places user-controlled link, vl, and il attributes into generated page output without sufficient sanitization and context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access is required to save a crafted shortcode; the script then runs in the browser of anyone who views the affected post or event.
