Paid course disclosure via unauthenticated REST endpoints
Published Dec 10, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Improper access control in ThimPress LearnPress 4.2.7.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to read paid course materials through REST requests. The material controller registers readable item and file routes with an always-allow permission callback, then returns database records without verifying course ownership or purchase. Knowledge of a course or material identifier is sufficient; the reported impact is paid-content disclosure without modification or service interruption.
