Unauthenticated tenant-record deletion via unchecked POST identifier
Published Nov 27, 2024 · Updated Nov 28, 2024
Improper authorization in SourceCodester Best House Rental Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to delete tenant records. The delete_tenant action in /rental/ajax.php accepts a caller-supplied POST id and deletes the matching record without checking authentication or authorization. No account is required; a network-reachable attacker who knows or guesses a tenant identifier can remove that tenant's stored record and disrupt rental operations.
