Authenticated arbitrary file write via PTRAC import
Published Dec 13, 2024 · Updated Dec 16, 2024
Path traversal in PlexTrac 1.61.3 through 2.8.0 allows remote authenticated users to write arbitrary files through PTRAC import. PlexTrac has not published which PTRAC import handler fails to confine the destination pathname before writing attacker-controlled content. A valid account and import permission are required; successful exploitation can overwrite files writable by the service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
