Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated May 20, 2026
Stored XSS in Quill Forms 3.10.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the quillforms-popup shortcode. The shortcode handler inserts user-controlled attributes into generated HTML without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. Contributor-level access is required; the stored script runs in the browser of anyone who opens the affected page, enabling actions in that visitor's web context.
