Credential theft via stored interactive HTML
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Stored XSS in LangGenius Dify before 0.12.1 allows remote authenticated users to steal administrator data through crafted prompts. The chat-log renderer accepts input and form elements from prompt-derived Markdown instead of excluding them, preserving attacker-controlled interactive HTML. Exploitation requires a logged-in attacker to submit the prompt and an administrator to view the stored log, exposing credentials or sensitive data entered into the injected form.
