Unauthenticated database access via unsanitized password-reset username
Published Nov 26, 2024 · Updated Nov 27, 2024
SQL injection in 1000 Projects Portfolio Management System MCA 1.0 allows remote attackers to read or write database data via username. The unauthenticated forgot_password_process.php endpoint inserts the POST username value directly into a MySQL query without cleaning or parameter binding. Boolean- and time-based blind payloads can read sensitive database contents or tamper with records without an account.
