CVE-2024-1180

Root code execution via unsanitized access-control name

Published Apr 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

OS command injection in TP-Link Omada ER605 2.1.2 Build 20230210 Rel.62992 allows remote authenticated users to execute code as root. The access-control interface passes its user-supplied name field to a system call without validating or neutralizing command elements. A network-adjacent administrator can trigger the path and gain root-context code execution, allowing complete control of the router.
