Code execution via unchecked X1 file parsing
Published Nov 27, 2024 · Updated Nov 29, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Fuji Electric MONITOUCH V-SFT 6.2.3.0 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted X1 file. The X1 file parser fails to validate user-supplied data before writing it, allowing a write beyond the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and successful code runs in the current process context.
