Unauthenticated GA4 email replacement via unchecked login
Published Mar 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in HT Easy GA4 1.1.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to replace the email associated with the site's GA4 connection. The login() function accepts an attacker-controlled email and updates the plugin's GA4 login data without checking a WordPress capability. No authentication or user interaction is required; exploitation changes the GA4-linked email but has no reported confidentiality or availability impact.
