Authenticated memory corruption via crafted static-route list
Published Nov 26, 2024 · Updated Nov 26, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC8 16.03.34.09 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via a crafted static-route list. The route_static_check function processes the list argument at /goform/SetStaticRouteCfg without adequate bounds enforcement, overrunning a stack buffer. Low-privileged access to the route-configuration endpoint is required; the public proof of concept establishes the overflow but not a reliable post-overflow outcome.
