Browser script execution via unsanitized tenant names
Published Nov 26, 2024 · Updated Nov 28, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Best House Rental Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject browser scripts. The save_tenant function in admin_class.php accepts firstname and lastname values without sanitization and renders them on /rental/index.php?page=tenants without output encoding. Tenant-management access is required to store the payload, and execution occurs when another user opens the tenants page, exposing that user's session and application actions.
