Unauthenticated shortcode execution via unvalidated iframe input
Published Dec 19, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Code injection in Download Manager 3.3.03 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary shortcodes without authentication. The shortcode-iframe handler invokes do_shortcode on a request-controlled value without validating which shortcode is selected. No account or user interaction is required; the resulting effect is limited to functionality exposed through registered shortcodes.
