Input validation in Schneider Electric Modicon M241/M251 before 5.2.11.29 and M258/LMC058 before 5.0.4.19 allows remote attackers to disrupt them. The Modbus input-processing path accepts a crafted packet without adequate validation; Schneider Electric has not disclosed the malformed field or code locus. Network access to TCP port 502 is sufficient without authentication or user interaction; exploitation also compromises controller data confidentiality and integrity, but the interruption mode and affected data remain undisclosed.
