Clipboard disclosure via unprotected private-mode copying
Published Nov 26, 2024 · Updated Nov 27, 2024
Clipboard information disclosure in Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird before 133 allows attackers to read private-tab data on Android. GeckoView failed to apply Android's sensitive-clipboard protections when private-browsing content was copied, leaving that content visible in clipboard history. Exposure requires a user to copy sensitive content and clipboard history or cloud synchronization to retain it; the reported consequence is read-only disclosure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
