Reflected XSS via unescaped token_type parameter
Published Dec 12, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in Hanif Khan Newsletter Subscriptions 2.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts via a crafted token_type value. The newsletter_subcriptions.php request path places token_type into generated page output without sufficient sanitization or context-appropriate escaping. Exploitation requires a user to follow an attacker-crafted link, after which the script runs in that user's browser under the affected site's origin.
