Authenticated MFA bypass via SQL data source switching
Published Nov 25, 2024 · Updated Nov 25, 2024
Improper authentication in Devolutions Remote Desktop Manager 2024.3.17 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to bypass SQL data source MFA. When an authenticated user switches among configured SQL data sources, the Windows client fails to enforce MFA validation on the newly selected source. The flaw requires a valid account and multiple configured data sources, and it permits access to data protected by the skipped MFA check.
